Small Group Personal Training Class Schedule

Sessions are instructed by a Certified Personal Trainer. You will be guided on how to perform your exercises and you will be assisted by your trainer on proper form and execution of the exercises for safety and effectiveness. Small group training allows the guidance of Certified Trainer without the cost of a personal session. An affordable way to work with a qualified trainer.

 

Fit Over 50 & Strong Over 70  are energetic group workouts designed with these age groups in mind. Workouts includes strength, cardio, core and abdominal exercises in one workout. We will work your entire body utilizing body resistance and free weights.  All fitness levels are welcome. Modifications are provided so all fitness levels get exactly what they need.

Balance & Core Stability exercise is one of the four types of exercise along side strength, aerobics and flexibility.

It is a very important part of overall health. This class focuses on building balance in the body to improve stability while strengthening the core muscles surrounding the back, spine and mid-section. In addition, we will work on coordination  and flexibility to complete the program. For your safety, chairs will be  provided so you may hold on when you feel unstable.

 

The benefits of  Balance and Core Stability Training include: 

- Prevent falls and injury; Reduce the fear of falling

- Improve posture, strength & physical function

- Helps to increase walking speed

- Increase muscle flexibility and spinal stability

- Improve motor response and the processing of sensory information

- Connect mind and body for overall better health!

Pre-Registration Fee:  Varies by location and time frame

*REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED (cash, check or credit card)

Going away or you may miss a class? No problem, only pay for the sessions

you can attend.

You will need: Water, Towel, a Mat and a set of 2, 3, 4 or - 5lb set of

weights. 2lbs recommended for beginners.

Fit Over 50

Location: Riverwood, Port Charlotte

9:15am - 10:15am (ages up to 69)

Room: Fitness Center Classroom

Residents only.

Balance & Core Stability

Location: Riverwood, Port Charlotte

10:30am - 11:30am 

Room: Fitness Center Classroom

Residents only.

Strong Over 70
